Practical guide
What this guide solves
Search the technology tree by goal, trace each unlock to its recipe or structure and spend points around the next useful milestone.
Use the matching Palpedia tool while you read.

Plan toward a result instead of clearing every row
Technology points are most useful when they unlock the next part of a plan: better production, a required structure, a Pal gear item or safer exploration. Search the target first and work backward from its level instead of buying every available entry simply because it is visible.
Palpedia connects technology records to item and structure pages, which lets you check materials before spending points. An unlock that looks immediately useful may depend on resources or facilities that belong to a later stage of the base.
Progression
Separate regular and Ancient progression
Regular Technology and Ancient Technology are classified separately in the tree. Filter by the relevant type before comparing costs so two unlocks at a similar level are not treated as if they use the same progression resource.
The page exposes the installed dataset rather than inventing missing costs. Open the permanent item or structure record when you need the recipe, official ID, category or construction materials behind an unlock.
Progression
Use a short progression checklist
- Choose the next base, combat or exploration goal.
- Search the corresponding item or structure in the technology tree.
- Confirm its level, point type and prerequisite facilities.
- Open the linked database record and total the required materials.
- Save optional unlocks until the planned milestone is complete.
Progression
Verify the dataset after progression patches
Palworld updates can add levels, move unlocks or change recipes. Palpedia's current tree is generated from a versioned local dataset and exposes its scope. When an in-game row differs, use the methodology date to determine whether the site or an older external guide needs updating.
