Use elements to improve a matchup
Elemental advantage changes how efficiently a team handles a target, but it does not replace level, equipment, moves or survivability. Use the matchup as one input in a complete encounter plan.
Dual-element Pals require an exact profile check. The name or appearance alone is not enough to infer every resistance, weakness or available attack.
Combat
Build coverage without duplicating every role
- Identify the main element expected in the encounter.
- Choose one reliable answer rather than filling the whole team with the same counter.
- Add a second element for enemies that resist the primary attacker.
- Keep movement and partner-skill utility in the calculation.
- Check each selected Pal's current profile before committing resources.
Combat
Separate a Pal's element from its active moves
A Pal's innate elements describe its identity and matchup, while its equipped active skills determine what it can actually cast in battle. A theoretical advantage is useless when the required move is not equipped or ready.
Use Team Builder for roster-level coverage and permanent profiles for identity-level facts. That combination prevents most planning mistakes caused by variants or old patch information.
