Practical guide
What this guide solves
Design around worker movement and production flow before decorating, then expand only when the first base is stable.

Plan the production path before the decoration
Place storage near the stations that consume and produce the most materials. Keep routes wide enough for large workers and avoid forcing every Pal through one narrow entrance.
A visually compact base can be operationally slow when transporters cross the entire settlement for every item. Test a full production cycle before filling empty space.
Base building
Group structures by workflow
- Keep logging, mining and their nearby storage together.
- Place furnaces and cooking stations where Kindling workers can reach them directly.
- Separate breeding and ranch space from crowded industrial routes.
- Leave access around generators, extractors and large late-game structures.
- Use the structure database to check materials and unlock requirements before rebuilding.
Base building
Give each base a primary purpose
A specialist mining or breeding base is easier to staff and diagnose than several settlements that all attempt every job. Assign a clear output and select workers around that output.
Version 1.0 adjusted multiple structure costs and production systems. Check current entries and patch notes before copying an old layout whose assumptions may no longer hold.
