What happened
The July 30 PC patch improves stability, but old loaders and mods still require careful removal and version checks.

The improvement is a PC-only compatibility patch
Pocketpair says the July 30 update improves stability when using mods on PC. The announcement also states that it does not negatively affect crossplay with other platforms.
This is a platform-specific stability improvement, not a promise that every existing mod has become compatible.

The earlier version 1.0 warning still applies
Before launch, Pocketpair warned that old mods or loaders could cause crashes, corrupted saves and broken quest or event progression. Simply disabling a mod may not remove its loader or altered files.
The official advice was to back up data, remove old mod-related files and reinstall only versions confirmed for 1.0, testing them one at a time.

Use a controlled return-to-mods workflow
Create a new backup, verify an unmodded launch, install one current mod and test the affected world systems. Keep the backup until the game has survived multiple normal sessions.
